What's Up SETX is a community-first newsletter for Southeast Texas — Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, and the rest of the Golden Triangle. It lands in inboxes every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 AM CST, and it reads like a well-informed friend giving you a heads-up: what's happening, what's new, what's worth your Saturday.
Why This Calendar Exists
The newsletter has an events section, but a twice-weekly email can only hold so much. Plenty of good stuff was getting cut for space — the Tuesday night market, the museum exhibit that runs all month, the festival three weekends out.
So this calendar is the always-on version of that section. Everything we're tracking across SETX, in one place, filterable by day, city, and category. Nothing gets left out for space here.
How Listings Get Here
Two ways:
- We research them. Every week we work through venue calendars, city and CVB listings, museum schedules, and local organizer pages across the Golden Triangle, then verify the details before anything goes up.
- Organizers submit them. Anyone running an event in Southeast Texas can send it in. We read every submission, check the details, and add the ones that fit.
Because details do change, we always tell readers the same thing: confirm with the organizer before you go.
Got an Event?
Send it over. Hit the Submit Your Event button on the events calendar and give us the basics — name, date, time, venue, city, and a line or two about it. If it fits, it goes on the calendar, and the best of the week gets featured in the newsletter.
