Acceptance of Terms
Using this site means you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, the fix is simple: don't use the site, and unsubscribe from the newsletter (there's a link in every edition).
Intellectual Property
The What's Up SETX name, logo, and our original content — write-ups, curation, graphics, and newsletter copy — belong to What's Up SETX. Share links to us anywhere you like. Republishing substantial portions without permission is not okay. Event details supplied by organizers and photos belong to whoever created them. For reprint or partnership requests, email info@whatsupsetx.com.
Event Listings
Here's the important part. Listings on this calendar are compiled from public sources and from submissions sent in by organizers. We don't own, run, host, or sponsor these events.
Details change. Times shift, venues move, rain cancels things, and organizers don't always tell us. So treat this calendar as a heads-up, not a guarantee — always confirm with the organizer or venue before you head out, especially if you're driving across the Golden Triangle for it.
We are not the ticket seller and we are not a party to any transaction between you and an event organizer, venue, or ticketing platform. Tickets, refunds, entry, accessibility, and everything else are between you and them.
Submitting an Event
When you submit an event, you're confirming that you have the right to share the details you're sending us and that they're accurate to the best of your knowledge. You give us permission to publish, edit, shorten, or format that information on the calendar, in the newsletter, and on our social channels.
We may edit listings for length, clarity, or house style, and we may decline any submission for any reason — including events outside Southeast Texas, political content, or anything that doesn't fit what we publish. Submitting an event doesn't guarantee it runs.
Acceptable Use
Use the site the way you'd expect a neighbor to. Don't scrape it at a volume that degrades service for others, don't try to break into any part of it, don't submit fake or misleading events, and don't use our name or branding in a way that suggests we endorse something we don't.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Texas.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
