Mark Winters, a rock singer-songwriter from Sugar Land, Texas, brings his Good Vibes Highway Tour to For The Record in Beaumont on Friday, Nov 6, from 8 to 10 PM. Tickets are $11.63.
About Mark Winters
Mark Winters calls his sound "rock with a positive vibe." He is a poet, a musician, an entrepreneur, a family man and a rocket scientist. He first picked up a guitar to play a song for his wife on their anniversary, and found out how much he loved connecting with people through music.
His roots are in rock, blues rock and pop, with John Mayer, Tom Petty and Jason Mraz as major influences. His albums include Slipstream (2019), Boundary Layer (2022), E=MC2 (2024) and Acoustic Me (2025).
"My music starts from a place of poetry and creative inspiration, and I use my 'rocket-scientist brain' to find structures that help me explore that initial burst of inspiration and feeling, like writing haikus, my favorite," Winters says. "My grandmother taught me to express myself through poetry and I'm thankful to her for setting me on this creative and expressive path."
Winters holds a degree in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical engineering, and that math and science background guides his songwriting. He takes complicated things, like emotions, and puts them in words that are easy to understand.
The Good Vibes Highway Tour runs along the Gulf and East Coast this fall, from Dallas to Nova Scotia and back. Beaumont is the second-to-last fall date: New Orleans on Nov 4, Baton Rouge on Nov 5, Beaumont on Nov 6 and Lafayette on Nov 8.
